Job Description:
The Investment Compliance Vice President is a position that will work cross functionally to assist in resolving non-standard portfolio compliance monitoring issues, provide internal and external support to Portfolio Managers, Client Service with onboarding, negotiate newly created or amended guidelines and review rule coding. This position will manage a 2–3-person team within Investment Compliance and will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Investment Compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Manage trading Incidents –pre-trade override comments and monitor post-trade incidents
- Supervise the client onboarding process from guideline negotiation through implementation
Review, test, interpret new or amended existing client guidelines and code guidelines as required
Compliance Issues – flag, analyze and resolve issues identified by the monitoring review process and escalate pertinent information senior management - Perform ad hoc portfolio analyses given current market conditions and/or security-specific factors, downgrades, guideline changes, etc. and present findings to Investment and/or Product teams
- Compliance Reviews - perform manual reviews as needed, including benchmark testing, duration, average quality, and liquidity monitoring
- Assist in developing best practices and control procedures to improve efficiencies
- Ability to evaluate opportunities to mitigate business risk
- Provide support and development opportunities to the team
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of Investment Compliance experience
- Minimum 1+ years in a management role
- Strong understanding of fixed income securities
- Experience with rule coding in an automated guideline monitoring system; LatentZero, Charles River etc.
Experience interpreting IMA’s, investment policy statements, public statutes and other sources for investment restrictions - Strong technical skills: MS Power BI, MS Excel, Bloomberg API,
- Collaborative with a balance of assertiveness and flexibility
- Thrive in a fast paced environment
Education Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Progress towards professional designation (CFA) or an MBA is not required but preferred

In addition to the opportunity to participate in a discretionary bonus program, the salary range below describes the estimated minimum to maximum base salary range for a position of this level. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each candidate and may vary based upon but not limited to relevant experience, licensure requirements, certifications, skill set, and other business and organizational needs.
Base Salary Range:
$135,000 - $195,000
Annual Performance Bonus:
This role is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus
