Job Description: 

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Data Analyst to join our IRM Data Team within the Technology Team. This team is responsible for both governance and technical implementation of the firm’s enterprise data.  This role will report directly to the Head of Data Services and Governance.  The Senior Data Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the firm’s data-related initiatives, ensuring data integrity, and providing actionable insights.  The role requires both business knowledge as well as technical skills and offers a unique opportunity to work closely with colleagues throughout the Technology team and the firm. 

Key responsibilities of the role will include the following:  

  • Serve as a resource on cross-functional data-related projects providing data expertise and support: 

    • Analyzing data 

    • Proposing and documenting requirements:  Business and Technical 

    • Testing 

    • Change management 

  • Triage data questions and/or quality issues, and propose improvements using SQL, Excel and other data mining tools 

  • Collaborate with various departments to understand data needs and deliver solutions that support business objectives 

  • Draft procedures documentation and propose process improvements 

  • Draft data standards documentation/proposals 

  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, outliers and insights that solve business problems and improve data quality 

  • Manage data vendors and related data changes, monitor costs, and approve invoices 

  • Support and maintain IRM’s data dictionary 

  • Develop new data quality checks or enhance existing checks 

  • Represent data governance best-practices  

Required Skills and Experience: 

  • 5+ years of fixed income asset management experience working in a data-related role or on data-related projects 

  • Knowledgeable about fixed income securities and the asset management industry 

  • Strong analytical skills 

  • Proficient in SQL 

  • Self-motivated with ability to manage numerous deliverables and drive items to closure 

  • Collaborative mindset and ability to both lead and work effectively within cross-functional teams 

  • Customer service focus 

  • Superior communication skills – verbal and written 

  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail 

  • Experience with Markit and/or Data3Sixty (Precisely Govern) a plus  

Education Requirement:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree or a minimum of 5 years of equivalent industry experience is required 

  • Master of Business Administration (or other secondary degree) preferred

In addition to the opportunity to participate in a discretionary bonus program, the salary range below describes the estimated minimum to maximum base salary range for a position of this level. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each candidate and may vary based upon but not limited to relevant experience, licensure requirements, certifications, skill set, and other business and organizational needs. 

 

Base Salary Range: 

 

$105,000 - $130,000                                                                               

 

Annual Performance Bonus:
