Job Description 

The Investment Team seeks an individual to join as a Securitized Research Analyst focused on Securitized products with dedicated sector coverage in a subset of asset classes with an ability to expand over time.  The Research Analyst will work closely with the full Securitized team including Traders and Portfolio Managers on recommending Securitized investment opportunities for our full suite of products and portfolios.

Summary of essential job functions

·       Provide dedicated sector coverage within a subset of Securitized markets

·       Assist and provide support to Senior Securitized Research Analysts through new issue reviews, issuer due diligence meetings, surveillance reports and presentations

·       Analyze and stress new Securitized investment ideas alongside Senior Research Analysts and the Director of Securitized

·       Identify Securitized investment opportunities via new issue and secondary markets with the goal of keeping portfolios fully invested in our best ideas

·       Model cashflow scenarios at the deal level using Bloomberg and other third-party, cashflow modeling software and/or proprietary excel spreadsheets

·       Maintain and create content for IR+M’s Research Management System (RMS) to ensure bond and deal-level opinions are up to date in a timely manner

 

Key Competencies

  • 7-10yr years of financial industry experience with 3-5 years in a Securitized Research capacity
  • Strong presentation skills for both internal and external audiences
  • Flexibility to juggle multiple priorities and projects for different end users
  • Ability to work and communicate with other areas of the Firm

  • Bloomberg, Intex and/or Python skills a plus

 

 

Education Requirement 

·       Bachelor’s degree required

·       CFA/ MBA or significant progress towards achieving

 

Base Salary Range: $140,000 - $180,000

Annual Performance Bonus

·       This role is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus.
