Open Position:  

The Risk and Regulatory Compliance Team is responsible for managing risk across the firm, for administrating the firm’s Rule 206(4)-7 Compliance Program, and processing all foreign and domestic regulatory filings and reporting.  We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our team.  The individual will be responsible for compliance policy testing, administering our Code of Ethics, and reviewing marketing.  The individual will coordinate new hire compliance policy training and will administer periodic policy certifications.  The role reports directly to the SVP, Risk and Regulatory Compliance. 

Responsibilities:

Rule 206(4)7- Compliance Program: 

  •    Administer the firm’s compliance policy testing plan.  
  •    Formulate new tests and procedures based on changes in the business or firm risks.
  •    Oversee monthly and quarterly policy acknowledgments and certifications.
  •    Work with compliance policy owners to update or change existing policies.
  •    Support the preparation of the annual compliance review.
  •    Review, approve, track and maintain records of marketing materials including RFPs, DDQ, and RFIs.
  •    Coordinate and document new hire compliance policy education training.

Code of Ethics:

  •    Review pre-clearance requests (personal trading, gifts and entertainment, and political contributions). 
  •    Answer ad hoc questions as they arise.
  •    Administer quarterly and annual acknowledgements and certifications.
  •    Evaluate political contribution forms for all potential new hires.

Regulatory Reporting and Filings:

  •  Support the preparation of various regulatory filings such as Schedule C Form 5500 and Form 13F. 
  •  Ensure accuracy and spearhead data gathering for 1940 Act Funds.

Ad hoc:

  •  Partner with the business and other compliance personnel on new products initiatives.
  •  Perform ad hoc projects and other duties deemed necessary.
  •  Assist with SOC1 audit as required.

Required Skills and Experience:

  •  5+ years of industry experience. 
  •  Ability to work in a very fast paced environment where priorities change quickly.
  •  Thorough, persistent, and able to function with a high degree of independence and accuracy.
  •  Ability to take initiative, use resources effectively, and communicate with others both orally and in writing.
  •  Proven analytical skills, demonstrated ability to make independent decisions, and ability to develop creative solutions to meet business needs.
  •  Strong computer skills SharePoint and PowerPivot.
  •  Collaborative and ability to build credibility and strong working relationships with business partners at the firm. 
  •  Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting applicable deadlines. 
  •  Thorough understanding of the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.  
  •  Familiarity of the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, and other applicable regulations.
  •  Familiarity of the Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE 18) and Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS®).

In addition to the opportunity to participate in a discretionary bonus program, the salary range below describes the estimated minimum to maximum base salary range for a position of this level. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each candidate and may vary based upon but not limited to relevant experience, licensure requirements, certifications, skill set, and other business and organizational needs. 

 

Base Salary Range: 

 

$85,000 - $105,000                                                                      

 

Annual Performance Bonus:
